Our guides are general information about Tableau. They are not advice about your particular environment, and reading one does not create a professional relationship between us.
The thresholds and figures we publish come from two places: Tableau's own documentation, and what we have measured across the environments we have audited. Both change over time. Where a number is ours rather than Tableau's, we say so on the page — but check anything important against Tableau's current documentation before you act on it.
