If you fill in a form

Our contact and snapshot forms ask for your name, work email, company, which Tableau platform you run, and either your approximate user count or a message, plus an optional phone number. We use a phone number solely to contact you about your inquiry, and every form works without it.

We use all of it to reply to you. That is all. We do not add you to a marketing list, we do not sell it, and we do not share it with anyone for advertising.

Unfinished forms. If you enter a valid email address and leave the page without submitting, your browser may send us the details you had entered up to that point, so we can follow up. This happens at most once per visit, never without a valid email address, and a notice below each form says so. Completing the form normally replaces it. If you receive a follow-up you did not want, one reply saying so is all it takes — we delete the record.

How submissions reach us. Form submissions, complete or partial, are delivered to our inbox by Web3Forms, our form processor, which forwards them without storing them. The delivered email includes technical metadata added by Web3Forms, including your IP address. Their privacy policy is at https://web3forms.com/privacy.

We keep inquiries for 24 months after we last speak, then delete them. Web3Forms holds its own copy for up to three years under their policy; if you ask us to delete your inquiry, we will delete ours and ask them to delete theirs. Ask at any time.

Analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics to see which pages people find useful. It runs only if you accept analytics cookies when you first visit. Decline, and nothing is set and nothing is collected. You can change your mind at any time using the Cookie settings link at the bottom of any page.

If you accept, Google Analytics records which pages you viewed, roughly where in the world you are, what kind of device you used and which site referred you. It sets cookies named _ga and _ga_<id>, which last up to two years. Google Analytics does not store your IP address — it is used to work out an approximate location and then discarded.

Form analytics. If you have consented to analytics cookies, we also record anonymous form-interaction events: which form was started, submitted or abandoned, and the name of the last field you touched. Never what you typed, and never your email address or phone number.

We run no advertising tags, no remarketing, no cross-site tracking and no session recording. Google's privacy policy is at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

Our hosting provider keeps standard web server access logs — IP address, timestamp, page requested — for 30 days, for security and availability.

Your rights

You can ask us what personal data we hold about you, have it corrected or completed, have it deleted, or nominate someone to exercise these rights for you if you are unable to. Email [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Union you have equivalent rights under UK and EU data protection law, including data portability, and you can complain to your own supervisory authority.

Questions and grievances

Email [email protected]. That address reaches the person authorized to answer questions and handle grievances on our behalf. Put "Grievance" in the subject line if that is what it is, and we will acknowledge within three business days and aim to resolve the matter within 30.

Children

This service is for organizations. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.

Changes to this page

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If a change materially affects data you have already given us, we will email you.
